After 25 Years in Wine, I'm Building Something New
I can still remember my first interview with Andrea Robinson, MS at Windows on the World more than 25 years ago. That meeting led me from New York to Las Vegas, Baltimore, and Atlanta—and introduced me to my wife. I've traveled the world tasting incredible wines with amazing people. When I say incredible, I'm not talking expensive—wine is always best when shared with family and friends.
Today, I'm launching Vineyard Confidential.
Here's what I'm seeing: Supplier-funded wine trips are declining 80%+. Sommeliers and wine directors are losing access to the educational experiences that built their expertise. Meanwhile, their clients are asking for help planning wine travel—but they don't have the time or infrastructure to deliver it.
I started Vineyard Confidential to bring these kinds of experiences to more than just the wine trade. When I talk to winery owners and winemakers around the world, they want their wines to be drunk and shared. Wine is sometimes used as a dividing line between those who know and those who don't. I detest that logic.
Vineyard Confidential is a white-label partner for wine professionals—providing exclusive winery access and sommelier-led experiences to their clients while they maintain the relationship and credit.
This isn't a travel agency. It's a relationship-based access platform built on 25 years of connections.
If you're a wine professional navigating these changes, or if you've been looking for authentic access to family-owned estates, let's talk.
